Yinbiao Shu

Dr. Shu is a professor-level senior engineer and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He has been mainly engaged in the research and development of energy and power development strategy, power grid operation and power system planning, construction of major ultra/extra-high voltage transmission projects and key technology. His research results have promoted the implementation of the "West-East Power Transmission" strategy and national power grid interconnection, and promoted the large-scale development and utilization of clean energy. Dr. Shu has won two Grand Prizes and one First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress, and the 2018 Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award

Dr. Mohammad Shahidehpour is a University Distinguished Professor, Galvin Chair Professor, and Director of the Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). He has been the Principal Investigator of $60M research grants on power system operation and control. His project on Perfect Power Systems converted the entire IIT Campus to an islandable microgrid. He initiated CSMART to promote smart grid cybersecurity research for managing the resilience of networked systems in smart cities. His SPIKE initiative facilitated the design and implementation of affordable microgrids in impoverished nations. He was the recipient of several technical awards including the IEEE/PES Outstanding Power Engineering Educator Award and the IEEE/PES Douglas M. Staszesky Distribution Automation Award. He co-authored 6 books and over 700 technical papers on electric power system operation and planning. Dr. Shahidehpour is a Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and a member of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE).

Has won 1 China Patent Gold Award as the main contributor, 5 provincial and ministerial level first prizes for technological inventions/scientific and technological progress, and over 150 authorized invention patents.
Markus Wolfgang Zdrallek

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Zdrallek was born in Germany on May 28, 1971.
After graduating from high school in Cologne, he studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt - he received his diploma with distinction in 1996 (SEW-EURODRIVE-Stiftung, study award for outstanding diploma theses).
From 1996, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Siegen, where he completed his PhD in 2000 on the subject of “Reliability analysis of electrical power supply systems”. From 2000 to 2010, Prof. Zdrallek held various management positions at Germanies major Energy Supply Company RWE in Siegen, Brauweiler, Neuss and Warsaw - most recently as a responsible for the “Operation Service” and “Technology & Products” divisions of RWE Rhein-Ruhr Netzservice GmbH.
Since April 2010, he has been a professor at the University of Wuppertal, where he heads the Chair of Electrical Power Supply Technology. Condition assessment of equipment, modelling and optimization of grids and grid operation as well as smart power grids for the energy transition are the main research areas of the chair. Prof. Zdrallek is Scientific Director of Neue Effizienz - Bergische Gesellschaft für Ressourceneffizienz mbH, too.
In addition to his various committee activities, e.g. Chair of the Technical Committee CIRED 2023, German Committee CIRED he has received numerous awards, including the 2019 German Solar Prize (BOB project - battery-powered trolley bus) and climate protection awards.
Xinghua Shi

Xinghua Shi, the third-level consultant of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company. Graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a master's degree in power system and automation. He has served as a senior manager at overseas power grid companies and possesses extensive management experience. He has been engaged in the planning and technological innovation of the electrical engineering field for a long time, making original contributions in theoretical research, equipment development, and engineering applications. He has led the construction of key projects such as the Baihetan-Zhejiang ±800 kV UHVDC project. He has been responsible for organizing and implementing a number of key research and development plan projects, and has been responsible for organizing and promoting the research and development of low-frequency transmission technology and hydrogen-electric coupling technology. He coordinated the organization of the Future Energy Forum at the 2020 World Young Scientists Summit, the 2020 Forum on Future Energy Network Construction with Multiple Integration and High Resilience, and the 2022 China Green and Low-carbon Innovation Conference.

Prof. C.Y. Chung is the Head of Department, Chair Professor of Power Systems Engineering and Founding Director of Research Centre for Grid Modernisation in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPolyU), Hong Kong, He is the 2024-2025 IEEE PES President-Elect and 2026-2027 IEEE PES President. Prof. Chung is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of IEEE, CSEE EIC, IET, and HKIE, and an IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer. He is also the recipient of the 2021 IEEE Canada P. Ziogas Electric Power Award.
He was the Member-at-Large (Smart Grid) and Member-at-Large (Global Outreach) of IEEE PES Governing Board, the IEEE PES Region 10 North Chapter Representative, the Chair of IEEE Hong Kong Section, and a member of IEEE PES Fellow Evaluation Committee. He has been a member of the editorial board of nine international journals including Senior Editor of “IEEE Transactions on Power Systems”, Consulting Editor of “IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy”, and Vice Editor-in-Chief of “Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy”. Prof. Chung’s research work has generated 3 US patents, 3 book chapters and over 200 international journal papers.
Yi Ding

Yi Ding is the Professor and vice dean of the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University (ZJU). Before he joined in ZJU, he was an Associate Professor (permeant position) in Technical University of Denmark, Denmark. He has received the National Science and Technology Progress Award (second prize), Scientific and Technological Award of Zhejiang Province (first prize) and the China Electric Power Science and Technology Award (first prize), as well as the Award of National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar and Excellent Science and Technology Researcher of China Electric Power.
